Meet The Team

Doug Williamson

Douglas 'Mr. Loanman' Williamson is Founder, President and CEO of The Doalson Company and its subsidiary Doalson Mortgage Services, and was the FIRST mortgage broker in the world with a website on the world wide web.

Prior to the founding of The Doalson Company in 1984, Doug was the Comptroller and acting General Manager for an international real estate and oil and gas syndication company based in Dallas, Texas with assets over $80 million, and was accountable for all worldwide operations for all corporations, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and general and limited partnerships.  Doug has been involved in over $1 billion in real estate  transactions all over the United States from Maine to Hawaii, and internationally in Tokyo and the Island of Curacao.

In 1984, Doug founded The Doalson Company to provide accounting and financial services to small builders and developers, as well as land and O/G syndications and internal development and construction opportunities.  As client needs evolved, he founded Doalson Mortgage Services in 1985 providing commercial and residential financing.  In 1987, he divested the accounting division and concentrated on commercial and residential financing, construction and development projects.

As a nationally recognized expert in the mortgage industry, Doug has been a guest on radio and television.  He is an author, lecturer, educator and conducts home buying seminars for individuals, corporations and organizations.  Doug was one of the original brokers instrumental in lobbying for the passage of the Texas Mortgage Brokers Licensing Act and the Texas Home Equity Lending Act.  He also serves on charitable and non-profit organizations, and is a C.E.R.T. member and serves on voluntary committees for the City of Bedford, Texas.

In 2000, he was approached by separate exploratory committees seeking his interest in being added to the list of possible candidates for Secretary of HUD under then president-elect George W. Bush.
